69 camaro door gaps

I did both door skins at the same time, so no reference there, the quarter panel is still on the pass side but the AMD skins are not the same as the GM ... grrrrrr!

I'll line up the front on the rocker and see if that helps. Do the professional shops gap everything W/O weatherstripping? And then just squish it when the door is closed?

I think someone else posted to line the doors up without the strikers. That is how I do it, The weatherstrip always seem to be tight when a guy replaces them. I like to line the doors up without the weatherstrip in. I used amd qtrs, and skins on my 69 I had to cut the qtr at the top. Just like your picture and angle it back a little to open the top of the gap. I also had to weld a few spots on the edges of the doors then go back and file or grind them to make the gaps somewhat even and what I thought was good. I worked at a Toyota dealership for 10 years and this car drove me nuts for fit.. I don't see a lot of cars that people spend the extra time to get stuff to fit nicely. Pretty much rule of thumb would be to get bottom and rear gap good. Then install fender and pray it lines up good. If not start welding the edge.
