Default 1st Gen Camaro Short Steering Arms

Hello all!

I'm looking for a set of the short steering arms for first gen Camaro (3954875 Left and 3954876 Right are the casting numbers). Or an aftermarket equivalent (which I haven't been able to find). Thanks for looking and I appreciate any help/advice I can get.

Did you check with Heartbeat City:

Edit: I see they are out of stock.

You can usually find a pair on ebay if you are patient. There is a pair on there now but the price is quite high at $500.

Thanks for the replies! I hadn't come across Hearbeat City. Seems like a good possibility. I wonder how often they get them in stock. I am using AFX spindles with SPC upper and lower control arms. I am going through the never ending struggle of trying to fit the largest front tire possible with a stock subframe. My wheels are 17 x 9.5 so I need the short steering arms for it to work. Thanks again for the help!

Thumbs up

You can also use these parts numbers- LH-3902519 RH-3902520. I had a set that I sold about a year and a half ago after I swapped in the ride tech tru-turn setup. I bought them several years ago for a similar suspension setup, they were really hard to find. Good luck in your search. Here is a link to my old for sale ad that has some pics of them for reference.

yep thats what I had in my 1968 Camaro for years that allowed me to run my 17.9.5 wheels with 5.5 backspace.....I also did the guldstrand mod and that rotated the steering arm slightly downward and that decreased (almost eliminated) the bump steer....thats why tall tie rod ends work (because the outer tie rod needs to be moved down to match the drag link pivot locations.....if your still using a steering box and drag link setup you could try the Ridetech Tru-turn....I never tested it (when I worked there) with the ATS spindles.....

my first steering arms were cut down and rewelded to a shorter length and turned in slightly to increase ackerman...you could see about that?

or have some made out of billet at a local machine shop? Like these on my rambler project

good luck
