If the 15th anniversary rolls in around August, Sonoma is nice...

My pops sent me a text yesterday, no words just this picture. I called him immediately and asked what the what? Turns out he was lost up near his house and stumbled across this lil sweetheart. The wife was super eager to get it out of the front yard so he gave her $350 and hauled it home!
I'll pull a few things off of it and he'll end of parting/scrapping the rest...Its just funny to me because my family gives me a hard time for draggin stuff home. I always do well when I sell or part something out, doesn't matter, I still get grief.

Wonder where I got it from.....

Hey Dan,

I thought I'd throw you a couple teaser shots of my latest mess (further progress will be very, very slow):

R.I.P. Lil Falcon....hahaha! You know those old vettes didn't handle that great to begin with right?

I'm leaning toward a torque arm in the back and some kind of something in the front....ford had some great designs throughout the years.

Thanks Craig, I'm looking forward to getting it in the garage and hacking away. I have some ideas and goals for the car, should be fun!

Paul......you're crazy! With that being said I'd love to see more of how you're putting that lil Falvette together. 2 things...Did you look at the Ford IRS and what are you drinking these days?

My sickness was in gestation for some time. After driving the (1992) Corvette for a season or so, in a number of environments, I decided I really liked the chassis, brakes, steering, etc. All the other crap had to go. I added 13 inches to the length, with a new 2x3 frame in the middle, along with a 2011 5.3 LS and its 6-speed auto (cuz shifting has gotten old, along with me) . . .

Oh, and the engine's about a foot back from normal now. Seating will be interesting. I may become my own back-seat driver.

Said ill-handling chassis ruled autocross for like a couple of decades--they also make pretty good track cars, especially with a bit of extra wheelbase (see C5 improvements not related to rear trans mount). On the dorkiest level, they also ride pretty nicely . . .

No more freaking rod ends!

We can also blame Belgian beer or Black Velvet, but really, law school drove me to this cluster . . .
