Cool /Update

Finished the bracket mock up on the 9" and then did a little of this and that, you know the stuff you have been putting off for awhile .... sprayed some epoxy and cut and re-weld the rear quarter corner that didn't fit follow the OEM tail panel!

I am waiting on my sway bar axle brackets from RT, seems I misplaced the originals, huh? And my rear axle alignment tools should be here soon so I can get the brackets welded in place for good.

Not much of an update but it's progress .... thanks for looking!

Looks good chief. Don't feel bad about misplacing the sway bar bracket, when I'm done with my build I'll have enough lost part left over I'll be half way to a second build!

This is my second time fitting brackets, it's just time consuming to get them to fit snug that's all!

Yeah I hear ya, just feel bad calling and getting more parts that I lost somewhere ....

Got the second set of sway bar brackets from RT, Thanks guys ... got them mocked up and tacked in place, now I can get all the brackets welded for good.

I had one of those "what the halibut" moments, there is no way an exhaust pipe is going to fit in there with all this stuff ....guess I'm going with an under axle exhaust. Take a look and see if there is something I'm missing here ... besides space for an exhuast!

Oh yeah, I fiddled with some filler on the outer wheel house and made a big mess.

Back out to the garage, thanks for looking ....

Cool

Good garage day fer sure ... man was it hot though! I love it when a plan comes together, figured I'd best get the passenger side micro-tub going before I installed the driver's side. Broke out the plasma cutter and used my template from the driver's side, took a few measurements, and .... the first time I put her in the tub follows the quarter panel to a T! That's kinda scary

Anyway, thanks for looking ....

Fine looking build, that's for sure. Looking forward to seeing it setting on all four.

Thanks John!

Thought I'd share some pics of my rotor wash ... with zinc phosphate. I used POR15's Marine Clean first and then their Metal Prep with water rinse in between, and then a light scuff with a red scotch brite!

A good scrubbing with Marine Clean!

Submerged in Metal Prep and working ...

Comes out kinda dark after the rinse ...

light scuff w scotch bright pad all better!

These vanes where filthy and were sure to rust ... not no more!

Figured I'd better get this done now before I bolt it together and then they start to rust, thanks for looking ....

So the POR15 metal prep leaves a zinc coating on the rotors that won't rust or resists rust?

Coming along great with the car.
