Well it's been a while since I posted Three weeks ago I had some funky growth on my finger remove and it's taking long than expected to work again. But we got a few things done. I installed the temp sensor on my Aluminum Hugh's trans pan and got it on the car. It's the shallow one and it is only as deep as my oil pan on the motor so it doesn't hang down.

I also put in my oil pressure sender for my Auto Meter gauge up top of the motor with this Aeroflow adapter. it's a nice piece.

And here are the two oil pressure senders A.M. to the side and Factory one on top.

Now if they don't leak I'm golden.

Nice work, looks very clean. I like that transmission oil pan too.

Did you know the transmission oil temp and engine oil pressure can be read through the CAN bus? Of course you would need a set of gauges that could interpret that information.

I have a bad habit of trying to get ahead of things most the time I bike myself in the ass like this time. I ended up buying a ton of Auto Meter gauges, ultra lites to use I like them but I also like the Dakota digital gauges. Which probably would be able to be used with the can bus system.

SpeedHut gauges have a CAN buss setup. plug it into the DLC and it pulls RPM, speed, coolant temp, oil pressure, oil temp, ect. pretty cool setup.

The Dakota Digital gauges will work with the CAN / OBD bus when using their adapter (at least the last set I installed required it). I am not sure if the CAN / OBD integration is standard in their new HDX line of gauges or not. In my opinion for the price and level of other features, CAN / OBD integration really should be on the list if it isn't already.

SpeedHut gauges were the other brand that came to mind with CAN / OBD integration. I personally have't looked at them too deeply because they don't have a drop in that fits my dash and I want to keep that vintage look at a glance.

I picked up a little bling to cover those ugly coils. I also have a set of Holley polished valve covers for it. ( I'm embarrassed to say I miss placed them and now I can't find them in all this chaos in the garage. )

Here are the coil covers, I tried one on for size. I'll use socket head screws.
