I used the magnet on my Camaro and once all the wiring was complete I put a little panel bound in the center of the magnet ring to make them permanent.

Had not thought of that, but will look into it. Seems like a good way to finalize the process.

Scott, thank you for the kind words. It does seem that this is part of life now, but it is all good. I have been fortunate that I had some time during the holidays to work on it.

I still plan on getting by to see you at some point, as we discussed in the past.
