I have finally decided to formally introduce myself and my current project - 70 Chevelle 454. For several years I have watched this site grow and gained inspiration from it's members.
A few months ago I picked up my third muscle car from its original owner here in Georgia. The 70 Chevelle Malibu only had 39,000 miles and appeared to be extremely solid. A quick trip to/from the media blaster revealed a different story. Without going into details, this car requires extensive panel repair and replacement. Below, I have attached a Kris Horton rendering of my vision and some pictures of my progress to date. Hope to have this car finished by May.
wow! great project, i like the rendering.. and if you really want your car to end up looking like the horton pic. you will have to channel the body and modify the frame.. so who cares if some of the metal you remove is rusty, it almost seems a shame to cut a perfectly staright and rustfree malibu...
love where you are taking it..

Appreciate the compliments. Have a long way to go, but I am excited about the progress. I have attached some pictures of my 67 Camaro, 69 Vette and 70 Velle progress pics.
