I agree but, don't forget the price difference between a TBSS and the SRT-8 Jeep. I considered getting the Jeep but, I figured the extra money could go towards my project car.

I have one and love it - but my wife drives it too much. She really likes it as well.

Coolest thing I saw on these was in the SAE newsletter. There was a short piece on the engineers at SRT presented the vehicle at a regional SAE meeting.

Specs they provided on 0-60 times:

In the dry: 4.5 Seconds
In the wet: 4.6 Seconds
In the snow: 7.0 seconds

I love it they have times in the snow!

They also said it pulls 0.94G in cornering and top speed is 161 MPH (their target was 155).

Other thing I think is totally cool - look under the front air dam and you will see they put functional brake ducts to cool the brakes off the air dam. Don't see that from the factory very often.

They did an awesome job on this one.

I'm told the Trailblazer SS will spank the jeep on a road course because the stability control can't be turned off in the jeep and it can kick in at just the wrong time. This is under really hauling ass conditions though.

i choose the tbss over the srt8 only because the tb was available in 2wd, then 3 weeks after i found out the srt8 has a 99 dollar mod you can buy to switch it into awd .So basically i hate the tbss now, lol, not sure about what handles better, i know my truck has pretty poor handling, worse then my old lighting or srt 10 ram.almost lost control of it a few times in corners.but doing doughnuts makes me not care so much

i have a 98 & 02 grand cherokee & love jeeps. however the trailblazer ss looks more attractive for the next suv just for the fact that i can program the computer, unless someone has a tuner package for chrysler now that i'm not aware of.
