Default Sorry! More LS2 vs. LS6 vs. LS7

I know, I know... READ previous posts... I have, maybe not enough of them, but Im too impatient.

In short, I want to just "drop and go" with 400-450 HP with a T56. I hear lots about ls1, ls2, and ls7. Of course I want an LS7, but probably cost inhibitive.

So whats up with LS6's. Im just starting my searches to find a lsx/t56 combo pkg. I have found a few LS6's turn key operations. Why dont I hear much about LS6 on this forum.

Or just shut me up and tell me the easiest way to get a complete 450 hp system without all the fitment issues and best bang for buck. I'm sure theres some place to pay 8k-12k for 450hp+T56 already to go in a 69 camaro. I just havent seen the right place in the threads yet.

OK, OK. I know and understand your point. I will search further. BUT, with punishment by Supergirl, I just may continue to stupid things and post stoopid threads, because that punishment was well worth it

LOL!!! As a side note, may I commend the moderators for not having just blasted my post into NoNo land but they judiciously deleted only the supergirl part! For those of you who missed it, she is a sight to behold!!!

Sorry Moderators but it was to good to not post up!

John

You can try these guys maybe: http://www.turnkeyenginesupply.com/streetpackages.html

<<------ And I think Scwartz & Mizfit sponsers sell turn-key setups. Check the sponsers on the left side of the page.

LS6 is virtually the same motor as the LS1: 346 cu in or 5.7L aluminum block. It has better flowing LS6 heads and a slightly more aggressive cam as well as the LS6 intake. You could buy a pullout LS1-T56 for alot cheaper since they came in the F-body (Camaro/Firebird) where the LS6 only came in the C5 Z06 vette or CTS-V Caddy. Add a nice cam and heads setup on the LS1 and you will be well over the power of a stock LS6.

Now alot of people are going LS2 which is a 364 cu in or 6.0L alum. block. Best bang for your buck might be an LS2 or 6.0L iron truck block with the new L92 Heads and L92 intake. I'd look inot that option if I were you.

Otherwise, do alot of reading and searches over on www.ls1tech.com there is a ton of info on these motors.
