If you are truly going to chase some track day or autocross stuff you might want to upgrade to the SA Series coilovers that are rebound adjustable for an extra $300.
No worries Bret ............ i got this one............... lol

Mike also had a good idea - sell the spindles and go DSE Speed I front and and rear. Makes sense as there's no mix/match and no reinventing the wheel.
There ya go buddy. Not far off from where I'm at now.

I'm no expert, but I'll give my two cents since I understand tight budgets; while trying to stay brand neutral.

First I would sell the spindles and add that to the budget. I would go with the Hotchkis springs and shocks, anyone's UCAs, Del-Alum bushings, someone's hollow 1-1/8" front bar and a complimenting rear bar, tall upper (and even lower) ball joints, Baer's bumpsteer kit, someone's subframe connectors, and solid (or no) body bushings.

That should leave you with plenty of cash left over for all of the other accoutrements.

edit: This should be after replacing all of the wear items.

I disagree. The spindles will help a ton and he wouldn't get retail for them, so he would be losing money in the end.

Here's what I had on my 67 and it was a great car to drive....and I drove it a ton!

ATS Spindles
Speedtech upper control arms
Koni shocks-front and rear
Global West L-2 leaf springs
AGR steering box
Del-Alum bushings
front sway bar (don't recall which brand)
C5 brakes w/ baer (14" front, 13.5" rear) drilled and slotted rotors
Kore3 kit
global west sub-frame connectors

Only complaint I had was that I couldn't hang in the corners with Todd while running around Lake Mead. Other than that it was a great car that was totally fun to drive.

I just took a look at Speedtech's road assault package and it looks like the perfect setup for a car like this.

Ron if you want more specific info let me know and I'll see if I can find all the paper work from the Bucket. Should be able to give you a fairly complete list.
