I sold the car to a buddy that is a dealer -- that had always said if I ever sell - he wanted it.... we've been good friends for many years. So he sold it -- and had put those wheels on it. Plus detailed the paint etc...

He came out on it. I'd left him meat on the bone. But to answer the better question -- if I was the seller -- yes I think that was what it was worth.

All I can say is Natg channel is lucky it showed the Nomad I waited all night to see. I thought they were going to sign off before it was sold.

Well --- the coverage this year is no different than in the past... lots and lots of stupid mistakes by the "pros"... Like the babbling idiot that's looking at my SMALL BLOCK and telling the world it's a 524 CUBIC INCH motor... (that's the horsepower number). I got a good chuckle out of that.

And I - like you - watched all day for several cars I was somewhat connected with... El Mule, etc. and dying the slow death of a 1000 cuts waiting for "my" (I'd sold it) car to run... and the announcer starts closing the show. OMG! But I was happy with the air time it got.... and that's nothing but pride since I had nothing to gain. I just wanted to see it appreciated for the home built car that it was. Lots of miles and I mean LOTS of miles on her... but always maintained and changed and updated. So I was thrilled when Magnante opened the hood to show my handiwork and they seemed to be happy with the quality etc. So I was happy. I just didn't want to see it languish on the block or have them just blow it off like "oh here's a 1956 Nomad" and then put that April Rose on... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

really though that Camaro styling looks a bit "dated"

it looks like the earlier days of protouring that had some streetrod still in it a bunch..

I like the car.. but it surely took an exact buyer... that wasnt at BJ this year... lol

Agreed. I like the car but perhaps too custom. Really dig the FI setup on the motor but think lack of LS series motor and a 400 series automatic vs a 5 or better a 6 speed may have influenced price.

I think your right on Chris I saw this car at Columbus and there work was super nice but it was more custom than I prefer and the engine and trans needs updated but the car is very well built.

Couldn't be more dated or "street-rod" then this thing;

Just no rhyme or reason to some of it....
