Default Seems like a pretty good deal for buyer no?

I was watching this particular car at BJ:

http://www.barrett-jackson.com/appli...n=1312&aid=525

Looks like it sold for about $83K or so minus buyers commission. I was expecting this car to sell for more looking at the amount of work in the car, GoodGuys SMOY finalist in 2012, etc. Now I wish I had registered as a bidder! Anyone else think this car sold under the money? Anyone see / know who bought it?

Chris

Could have sold it on eBay for that!

I bet the owners sick. It's as nice as they get.

It cements the fact that you build for the love of the game, not the investment. Ask me how I know... ha

I think the color hurt it. I like the copper body, but way too much inside. The interior is sore on the eyes.

I have a feeling that a dealer may have bought this car. If so, I would expect to see it on a dealers web site in short order for a bit more than $93,000. Just sayin........

Exactly. My father in law took his 67 Chevy nova that was bada$$. Ls9 t56mag etc etc. had 250,000 in it. After seller fees he cleared 128k. Just saying you can't expect to make money or break even on a build. I told him he was lucky to get that

It would be tough taking a 200k loss after only enjoying the car for a year or so after it was completed. What a great buy

That Camaro is built for a very small niche market. I bet Greg's nomad bring nearly the same money or within 20% and it been together for years.
