We've had LS hyd rollers up to 8,500! Fwiw those numbers are with all the accessories on it and the water at 180*

I was thinking more of the longevity of it going that high.

Tim the motor is bad ass. My iPhone showed the dyno sheet upside down and my kids were looking at me funny while reading it all contortioned

Can you comment on valve float issues on a hyd roller turning 8500? How do you and Kurt get around it?

So far we haven't seen them be any worse than a solid for durability. I plan to maintain them as I would a solid, the lifters and springs will get replaced every season for insurance.

We are using a stud girdle that we make on the rockers , short travel lifters, and I also think how Kurt goes about setting up the valve springs helps as well, Kurt is a guru with these engines and knows so many tricks that are unconventional. The block also has a raised cam which translates to shorter pushrods and thus less deflection.

It reminds me of my engine, but way nicer.

I'm using a 4.185" bore and 4.125" stroke with RHS LS7 heads, Fast intake, wet sump and smaller cam, 244 259 @ .050. makes about 600/570 on a chassis dyno while being run up to 6800rpm. With the gearing and torque available it doesn't seem to make a difference when you shift as long as its above 6000rpm.

the way your engine builds power should be great for autocrossing. Always impressed with what comes out of the shop!

Matt, you need the Ozmo intake for your engine , that Fast intake is choking it, I saw a 50 hp increase with the Ozmo. The 102 mm tb is too small for the cubes you have.
