+1. I agree with Allen.

I like the gold, but minus the vinyl top.

Hmmmmm....I think I'd go with the black top with no vinyl roof. On the fence about the black fender pinstripes with that color scheme though. It's starting to get a little busy. Just my...$.02

The owner picked the wheels and wanted gold centers. He also wants to keep the unique bright trim around the top, then I'd like to leave the top black and the trim, but ditch the vinyl. We'll see.
Thanks,

Gold one with no quarter stripe, any black stripes on the deck lid??

Or the black one with black painted top, no roof trim (I know he wants it), and gold wheels....this would stand out the most of the two, Foose like!

Either way nice ride!!!

Oh sure....now that I've made gold "the new Red" you just have to jump on the bandwagon, don't ya Schwartz?

I like the 'busier' one with more black because it looks like custom job, rather than the 'almost factory' cleanliness of the 'more gold' design.

PS - Look to Hurst Olds for more inspiration on where/how to two-tone it. I admit the Hurst Olds (and Hurst Chrysler 300s) were the inspiration for the paint on my wagon, with a couple twists of my own. I really think the Hurst designs need to be looked at when anyone decides to use gold...they used it without overusing it, and that can be tricky.

Cool car too!

Personally, I'm a little tired of two tone paint jobs, so I chose all god with stripes.

Thanks,
Yes, get rid of that vinyl top! The previous owner of my car put on a custom vinyl roof back in the early 70's. That was the thing to do...

It's a hard step to take, however, he will be so greatfull later on. If he is spending that kind of money you are going to have to look under the vinyl top anyways to confirm the condition of the roof. I would hate to see someone spend that kind of money and then have problems a few years later. My 2 cents. LOL

[QUOTE=streetfytr68]Personally, I'm a little tired of two tone paint jobs, ....
Me too! Actually I'm a bunch tired of it.
Not many people know this, but I painted my Caddy and did it in two tone way back in 1993. It hit the streets in 1994.
I guess what I'm saying is the two tone fad should be over in my book.
But, I gotta deliver what the customer wants too.
thanks
Jeff
