Default The LS1 came to life today!!

Got her fired today, what a sense of relief!

I was so worried as we tried Saturday with no luck, today we tried again scanned the PCM and did tests for spark and fuel. Diagnosed the problems, as soon as we fixed them, the LS1 came to life right away. I am so freaking happy right now!!

The thing sounds mean as hell, of course with open headers and the cam lope was shaking my whole house!

I have some videos, but don't know how to post them.

It's going to the shop Tuesday to have the suspension done (lowered, alignment etc), exhaust/intake built and frame connectors installed as well as other things. When I get it back it should be ready for some shakedown runs!

Thanks for all the help and support!

Ryan

Good to hear,

That moment is always a special one when you work on your car. I will be there sometime next year too with my LS1.

Just curious, what was the problem that you had when it didn't start.

Love to see the video. You have to host it somewhere, maybe Scott can help you out.

Thanks everyone!

We had the ignition wired up wrong, John at Speartech clarified that, and the fuel lines were mixed up at the regulator, there were no instructions with it, or any arrows so we assumed the wrong inlets/outlets. Swapped them and it fired first try!!

We had some other electrical gremlins like lights etc, but we took care of that.

I'll try to get some vids up tommorrow.

I finaly received the videos from Ryan. All I can say is BAD ASS!!!! Nothing more cool than what you see in the 2nd video. Just something awesome about seeing a guy next to a 69 Camaro with a computer! Very impressive. The car sounds and looks sick!!!
I hosted these right off my new site.
1. Ryans 69 Camaro LS1 fire up from front.
2. Ryans 69 Camaro LS1 fire up from rear
