Default New to the site

I figured I've been around the block enough times, maybe I should stop and join the party.

First, because I saw the other thread... a little bit about me and where I'm from.

My name is Adam. I'm in Mankato (MN) currently just finishing up my degree in Automotive Engineering Technology this week (anybody got a good job for me ) I frequent the Minnesota F-body club when I'm not in the garage. I'm the kind of car guy the other car guys go to for advice, and my phone records and list of area codes I get calls from reflect it. If I only had a dollar for every time someone called me and started out with "so I was driving home to day and my car started..." or "I'm trying to get ___ to fit and it won't ___"

Now... for my projects. I don't consider them anything special because they are not up to my standards (yet) but I keep working on them in between helping everyone else and fixing my daily driver/s. I'm one of those guys that does everything on their car, the only time I had someone else do the work is when my Megasquirt had an issue and my electronics repair technician friend helped me sort that out.

My pride and joy, and primary money pit:
1985 Trans-Am (I know... ew, an ugly third gen, I'm saving the looks for when I've finished scratching it up)

It's got this going for it though

Yes, I am aware the wiring is a mess, it's set up to test all the circuts right now.

And it does have a few goodies to make it go around the corners faster, and will get more this winter.

I'll get to the others when I get a chance later.

The projects from hell:
94 GMC Yukon - The new (to me) tow vehicle
85 TA - The "race" car
82 Firebird SE- tha heap
66 Mustang - 4bbl 289 With power brakes. It's a classic, what more do you want.

Glad to have to join in, Adam.

There are several automotive engineers that hang out here. What do you have planned next?

My plan for the TA is to simply get it on the road and get the tuning done. After that I'm going to re-design the suspension for better handling. I don't know how long it's going to take before I can get to that, the whole graduation and looking for a job issue is really taxing my spare time.

Figured I'd take the opportunity to add one or two more of my projects to the thread...

My '66 Mustang
It's a good 10 footer... but I keep poking at it and it's improving constantly.
Basic 289 Auto. It's just fun to own something twice as old as I am.

And a project that Scott knows about, and some of you might appreciate.
Andy's 240Z (a car I'm building to fund my own)
Ugly is the theme in my garage

But I like to make everything under the hood look nice
