Default Penny's first car show...

Mostly sorted out except for an alignment (I have an apt on Thurs) and that damn squeek coming from the front drive. The clear-bra is on so no worries about chips from the tires...

Went to the huge John Force charity car show today.. there were 930 cars and many of them were very nice. Jay Leno had his tank powerd car there (too cool) and there were a lot of Overhaulin cars to chech out. Just lots of very cool stuff and checking out Force's shop is always cool.

They had a "top 30" (i think 30) award deal. So of the 930 cars 30 or so could get an award. With all the high end street rods and customs there I didn't really expect to win anything, but I did. And I was really happy since the trophy was kick ass. I guess they milled them in the shop out of billet with the bottom done like a piston and a tire on the top that spins. The nicest trophy I've ever won.

The guys from Best Of Show were there and were very happy that the car won. It's the first car show I've gone to (with a car) in three years, so it was fun to bs with all the guys I've known. The stack of toys the show brought in for the CHP was HUGE.. like towering. Oh, and John came out to talk to the crowd. Given his condition that was pretty cool.. oh, and Ashley is hot. lol

A fun and relaxing car day...

This was sorta cool.. an assortment of CHP chase cars.. the '79 is the last remaining survivor. I want to shoot a feature on it for Camaro Performers. very cool.

John seemed in good spirits.. he had a walker to get around and was still bandaged up quite a bit. He was also super thin.. I guess almost dying does that to you. You can all see SOME of the toys they took in.

Congratulations Steve..
I am not surprised by your win.
Perhaps there were cars there that had more $$$$$$ invested but as everyone knows money does not always buy good taste
