I was doing a search for some pro-touring esq. websites and came upon this. It seems like a great place and by looking at some of the automobiles on this site everyone here is extremely knowledgable about these types of builds. I currently have a 1968 Dodge Charger that is evolving into a pro-touring machine. As I am sure most of you know it is a question of money, but it is coming along pretty well. It is powered by a warmed over 440, running a 727 backed by a Gear Vendors OD/UD unit.
I am currently just waiting for my BAER brakes to arrive which is holding up the rebuild of my front end - they have unfortunately been on back order since April. Not that there is anything wrong with brakes on it now, it's just not the set-up that I want. I have ordered the Track system up front and touring for the rear as well Hotchkis front and rear swaybars with Magnumforce fully adjustable upper control arms. The suspension has already been converted to poly bushings - so once the brakes and swaybars on the difference in handling and braking should be substancial.
Aside from taking information, I hope I can contribute as well.
I have included some pics of my car - hope everyone likes it.
Welcome! That's an awesome Mopar. I'm glad you found our little spot on the Net. I'm always interested in adding depth to the site, be sure to check this out:
Gotta love those those Mopars! Definitely making a statement with it. Very nicely done!!
If you don't like those Boyd Coddington cast caps I sell machined billet one that are smooth. Look pretty cool. You can machine you own logo or whatever in them if you like. Just food for thought...
