Default Need Input

My 68 camaro is about ready to have some paint layed down. My only real problem so far is that I am waffling on the color. I can not seem to make up my mind, around here there are tons of red, black, blue, orange, white 1st gen's at all the cruise ins/shows.

I know these colors are popular but I hate being a sheep per say. This last weekend I saw 4 red/black stripe 1st gens all parked beside each other at a SMALL show.

So I come to you guys hoping for a little input.

quick question...do you want to run a original, a new factory or candy color?

Will the car be strickly show, or a driver? Any chance of nicks happening?

Not a daily driver, but no trailer queen either. I am open to ideas on color, I am leaning toward candy red w/black stripes. However every other camaro in town is red w/black stripes so I am not to sold on it yet.

what about an indigo blue? Or the blue off the WRX's? Dark green? what interior color are you going to be running?

Drive around the new car dealerships and look at the cars on the lot for color ideas?

Or have a rendering done...there are some very talented guys on the site that can do them...

That's a great idea. It seems the Euro cars have some of the nicest colors these days.

Will do, as for interior... black.

I did see a lowrider the other day that caught my eye, and was able to ask him about his paint. I liked the color, it was a bit lighter/brighter than the 69 rally green but sadly the metallics were to big for it to look right any place other than a lowrider. He said it was eastwood co. gasser green. So I looked it up and the shade is correct but the flakes in his were alot bigger, I guess he mixed in more flakes?

I put black stripes on the paint chip to see how it would look perhaps in real life.

While on that site I also a potential color... Rodz berry metallic. I dunno anything about the quality of their paint though.

I am painting my car Ford g2 Redfire pearl metallic Red with Black. We have a couple of 2010 Ford Edge Crossovers running around the facility here that color with chrome 22" wheels. Looks awesome.
It is a different shade of red, see if you like it.

What wheels are you going to use? And are you dead set on black stripes?

Someone is going to totally flame me now I know but, Toyota has a couple of nice different colors on the 2007 and newer Camry's. They have an ice blue and a very light green color, I have no idea what they are called but I think they would look very good on a 67-68 with some stripes. Or the other idea would be to go back and see what original 68 Camaro colors you might like.

No flaming from me...I stopped in at the Toyota dealer to look at blues, hell I looked at every dealership I could find!

I think doing a med-dark green (British Racing Green) would be classic and differant. You could do black stripes and going to a darker center wheel would totally set you appart from the guys at your local car show.

Or if you like to be a bit brighter, look at sport bikes, they tend to have great colors as well.

I prefer German car colors/paint.....
