When I purchased my Z28, it came with a 396 that someone dropped in at some point and had swapped out for the 302. I was unhappy with the performance and figured I would bite the bullet and do it right.
Call it Pro Touring Trans Am
After spending weeks researching and shopping around local engine builders, crate builders and whatnot, I ultimately decided on the zz502 simply because its a great base for me to build upon. I wanted streetable performance, and not to piss off the neighbors
too badly
