OPTIMA Image Contest - Win a free Optima Battery

Hello. My name is Cam Douglass and I work for Optima Batteries. We are developing an ad for this forum and we’d like your help. You may win a new battery.

As a way of saying thank you and as an intro to our support of this forum, we will be running a contest for a short period of time to help us with our new web banner advertisement. Basically this is a photo contest for our ad. If we select your photo it will run in our banner and you will receive an Optima battery as a thank you. Here is the deal:

We are creating a banner ad that needs a vehicle appropriate for this forum. The banner will be animated, showing the vehicle driving in and out of the ad so we need a clean side shot. Imagine a vehicle driving from the right of a page to the left. We need to start with a clean driver’s side shot that we can cut out the background. Here are some basic guidelines to help your photo stand out from the rest:

• Photo should be no larger than 8” X 10”.
• Photo resolution should be 72dpi (not larger).
• The shot should be a 100% profile of the driver’s side.
• The steering wheel should be straight so the wheels are 100% profile.
• Shoot the photo against a plain background so it’s easier for us to clip around it for the ad. For example, do NOT shoot it with trees or something else in the background. In front of a plain colored wall is preferable. (In a nutshell, avoid a busy background behind the vehicle.
• Avoid shooting photo with shadows.
• Avoid shooting underneath trees or other elements that cast light variances.
• Photo should be of vehicle only – no driver, no people outside of vehicle.
• Submission of photo gives OPTIMA Batteries exclusive rights for use in banner advertising across the internet. In other words, the usage agreement is lifetime usage for internet purposes.
