your going to be really going to be happy you posted this before you did this. i have tried this many times with no success. it will look good for weeks then it starts to turn white under the clear, then it eventually all turns white. i have heard eastwood sells clear for polished intakes but i have never used it.powder coating definitly works. if someone knows what works well for this I would be intrested in knowing this also.but do not use your normal clear automotive paint or in a spray can. good luck

Bought Eastwood's Powder Coating kit and some clear just for this. It just came in the mail, so not sure of the results yet, but I am hopeful.

What about chrome powder coat? It looks like polished aluminum (not mirror) and will not haze down the road.

I have never done this but I have been wondering about doing clear anodizing on it. The Trim on my camaro is polished anodized aluminum. seems like if it holds up there it should hold up good.

Just a thought
