Default norcal AMC junkie

Hi all, been lurking on the site for quite some time. Realized I haven't ever posted here yet so I decided to put up and introduction. I have a '73 Javelin AMX that I've been working on (butchering?) since 1992. I also have a '74 jav amx shell and a '75 gremlin in a friends field. I try to do most of the work myself which results in everything taking YEARS to complete. My car has followed a repeating pattern of:

1) do something
2) drive it for a bit
3) take it apart to do something else
4) repeat

currently the car is apart again to be rewired, custom dash, new center console, etc, etc. I'm actually trying to get it driveable again so I can take it to the all amc car show in Pomona at the end of may.

the car was an automatic for the first several years I owned it. then I swapped in a t10 4spd. then finally put in a tremec tko 500. has wilwood brakes and a coil over kit up front. stock rear (with 2" lowering blocks). engine has been rebuilt (not by me). dyno'd at 267 rear wheel hp and 400 ft lbs of torque. The paint scheme is inspired by the roy woods racing trans-am javelins from '71. I'm a big trans-am nerd and have been to many of the wine country classics to see the cars in person (and even sit in the #2 RWR jav).

there's more info on the car at my blog: http://asifnyc.com
yes, I have a blog for my car... it's mostly for me to keep track of the things I've done to it. I've searched and seen some posts from other amc'ers but are their any amc guys still active on the board? how about PT guys in-general from the SF bay area?

anyway, I've gotten a lot of great information and inspiration from the board. I'm hoping to get this javelin to a point of "completion" so that I can work on the Gremlin. The javelin will never really be done but after 15 years I'm really ready to work on a different car for a while.

anyway, thanks for reading. oh yeah, here's a pic of the car:

cool, I see you are in Petaluma. I work in Novato and my wife and I are going to look at a house for sale in Petaluma this afternoon. I need a flat 1/2 acre for my "javelin farm"
