Default Need Help & Info from you 80's Winston Cup Nascar Guys

Been Searching and surfing the net high and low for info on the 80's Buick that were in NASCAR/Winston Cup.

I can find who drove them, what place they finished and when, and some pics.

But wanted to know if anyone knew of the specs or have close up pictures of the "flared" Fenders and Quarters?

And also the Specs or close ups of the rear wing?
How it was attached , and moved up or down for down force?

Thinking of doing my Regal in a tribute format to the 80's Winston Cup Buick Regal cars, but with my twist on a modern version.

Thanks

Did you try looking at the websites of the teams? Or of the team owners?

I have no idea who owned what back then, but let's say it was Hendrick or Roush. Maybe one of their sites would have some historical pics? Maybe on the NASCAR site? Or one of the museum sites? Just some ideas.
Good luck finding what you need. The build idea sounds pretty cool.

Lets see here.... for starters, in '81 Waltrip, Yarborough, Petty, and Bobby Allison all drove Buick's...

I'm looking at Tim Richmond's 82 Buick and the rear spoiler bolted to both the top and rear edge of the deck lid.

Winners? In '81, Petty won Daytona in a Buick... DW won at Richmond and Rockingham, Yarborough in Atlanta, DW at Bristol, Petty at Wilkesboro, DW at Darlington.... and on and on and on.

Both 81 and 82 were stellar years for Buicks in Cup.

Quickly running through the numbers in my book, it looks like Buick's last win in Cup was at Wilkesboro in '90 with Brett Bodine driving...

Thanks for the pics......

That first one, the purple car, that pic shows the flares, front and rear.

The last pic, the White #22 car, that is a clean sharp car.

Im also planning on doing the the open "D" rims similar to those, either Cragar or Bassets. 15" on 255/60/15's

The approach is similar to the Laguna being done in Popular Hot Rodding, A Satin Black Finish..... just don't know if Ill do Logos or Numbers on the car or not. just Dunno
