Default Is GM Happy with sales of

all the "V" models from Caddy? I LOVE the CTS V and the STS V, trying to justify buying one (CTS V) for a company car. I posted this here rather than highjack the Camaro/Chevelle thread in which Trapin stated that GM was on pace to sell 120,000 HHRs. I looked at those as well. I love them. They would be perfect for my business as well, just not as fast as the CTS V.....

Just wondering...

I've seen quite a few HHR's around here. I think the gas prices helped kick start their sales.

The CTS-V would be an AWESOME company car.

I'd go for the V! The HHR is, IMO, uglier than the PT Cruiser. They were designed by the same guy.

Default V

I was interested in sales of the cars, but thanks for the feedback!

I own an Industrial Automation company, so the HHR makes since hauling catalogs and samples and stuff. I have a work truck for that as well. Sometimes, showing up for appointments in a nice car gives the illusion that maybe we are expensive for a reason other than being good...

I dont know any numbers, but I believe over the past few years with Cadillacs makeover and the introduction of the CTS they have taken a small bite out of the luxury market. Its just a really tough segment to compete with the german cars and the their names, but I think I have read some articles about Cadillac fighting back a bit.
They sure arent just selling to the older crowd anymore.

juts picked up a NEW 04' silver CTS V for $39K delivered to my front door. Dealer in Kansas couldn't move it since all the wives shot fown the husbands who wanted it because of the stick.

Minus the F1's in 2" of snow this week...I LOVE this car. The B4C camaro was put away for the winter the 1st of november but I don't miss it much. Sold my 04' SRT4 which is most likely the MOST bang for the buck car out there, but wife said I needed a 4 door with better crash ratings..I "settled" on the "V"...oh yeah, company car too. leaves $$$$ room to get my Nomad project going.

Default sweet!

Sounds great! I was just curious to see how they are selling, I love them and would hate for GM to pull the plug. I thought some of the GM guys would chime in a little better, Oh well

As far as I know, GM is very happy with the "V" series of Cadillacs. As far as sales figures and projections...thats a bit out of my jurisdiction I'm afraid. Some at Corporate in the Public Relations segment could probably answer that question. Sorry I don't have much more for you. I can tell you that I have not heard any plans to discontinue them. Myself I would love to bend the hips of an STS-V. That car is killer.

HHR may have been touched by the same designer as the PT Cruiser but you have to understand that the PT Cruiser had shortcomings that were corrected in the HHR. HHR is a much more user friendly crossover. It also has a more muscular look to it. If you caught the "Rides" episode where the 4 custom shops did take offs on them, it was pretty sweet. I love what Dark Side did with theirs.
