Default Looking for advise for choosing brakes

I have a 69 camaro that will mostly be a weekend warrior however I am interested in possibily road racing or autocross if I choose to. Cost is a factor so I narrowed down to a few choices let me know what you think. 1st)Kit Wilwood has 2-peice rotors front and rear 12.19 x .81 with 6 piston dynapro calipers on all 4 corners with e-brake for about $2400.00. 2nd) Wilwood kit 12.90 x 1.1 2- peice rotors 6 piston super lite calipers in the front with 1 peice 12.19 rotors 4piston dynalite calipers in the rear with e-brake for $2700.00. I was leening toward the 1st kit because it was a little less and had matching 6 piston calipers all the way around with a greater clamping area but sacrificing a little smaller rotor in the front and having 2- piece rotors in the rear.I've always felt like the money should be in the front but I thought this would be a balance set up for the money. Also on the 2nd kit it would be a little more cost but a little more heavy duty in the front. I also wonder if I would notice a difference at all with there being such a small difference in the rotors. Thanks for any opinions or advise.

Dion, Wilwood is a good way to go. We have set up a lot of guys on the forums with the 12.2 6 piston front/12.2 4 piston rears with tons of positive feedback. Wilwood does not have a 6 piston rear caliper. Either way I can get you into the mentioned above with all the goodies to make it work ie. drilled/slotted rotors, Wilwood master cylinder, Wilwood prop valve, Wilwood front braided lines, etc for $2400. Feel free to give us a call if you need any help picking a kit.

A few things

(1) The (6) piston Dynapro offers ZERO mechanical advantage over the (4) piston Dyna lite. It is completely a bling factor.

(2) Prodigy Customs DOES have a Dynapro 12.19" rear kit with a special Dynapro caliper we use with smaller pistons specifically designed for rear application to maintain proper brake bias so you can have that better looking rear caliper

(3) We still have a few FREE polished / black master cylinder upgrades available

As advertised, (6) piston front / (4) piston rear WITH the free polished / black master is $2300, add $300 for rear (6) piston upgrade.

Our kits include

Kits include:

Wilwood Front and Rear Wilwood Kits

New front Hubs

3 pints Wilwood DOT 4 high temp Brake Fluid

Front Braided Brake Hoses

Prodigy Customs Rear Braided Brake Hose

E brake Cables for Internal E Brakes

FREE Wilwood polished or black master

Adjustable Proportioning Valve

We even include Safety Wire and Safety Wire Pliers for proper 2 piece rotor assembly
