Default 68 firebird first car

Heres my first car, I bought it when I was 13. I painted it in my garage when I was 14 and restored the whole thing by high school. Now its declined to the point that it needs to be gone through again since it has to park outside. I finished the mini tub in the back recently but havent been able to buy new wheels and tires yet. I am on a college budget so I cant hardly afford that now.
The goodies
-350 chevy(I know....it was cheap....that will change)
-mild cam 224* duration at .050, .464 lift intake and exhaust
-th350(will also change)
-Chevelle disc brakes up front
-9" rear end with 3.30 limited slip and lincoln versailles discs
-Polyurethane bushings all the way around(I didnt know any better when I did it....they will all be changed)
-1 1/8" sway bar up front
-Guldstrand mod to UCA mount
-Mini tubbed rear
-lots of bondo
Theres more...but I am forgetting now...This is just the beginning of this project but its been a great learning experience

and a pic from my high school days in front of my old house shot by my mom.

That's a nice 68 you have.
Sweet burnout too.
You will fit in here just fine.

Nice burnout in front of the neighbors house. You got that Duramax dialed in yet?

the duramax hasnt seen much progress. I just finished finals, spent 2 days working on the firebird, and now Im working on the GMC. I got all the sheet metal off of it...will post pics of it soon in the other post. Hopefully It will be running soon. I am going to paint a car for a friend though so I will have a few days of prep work doing that. Whew...Car guys are in high demand!

Very cool. Bought my car at age 13 as well. Still have it 25 years later. Keep up the good work.

Another long time owner of a car. 30 plus years. Looking good! Make sure you finish school first. There is always time later to complete the car.

I will finish school...its tough but necessary. I am getting my bachelors in Mechanical Engineering so that I have the degree to design suspension and what not. Not sure where I want to get a job, but as long as it has to do with cars I will be happy. My projects have for sure made it easier to keep going to school because I want to understand everything about them and working on them helps keep me sane
