Default 65 Chevy II

Finally picked one up, After 10 years.
My first car was an all original 66 that I sold to go away to school.
Now I am the proud owner of a new,to me, 1965 chevy II.
2 door coupe, no post, i think thats a coupe,4 speed with a 283.
It's in running condition, so cruising is the plan for immediate use.
Future plans: Track day car first, cruiser second.
LS motor. 5.3 or ls1 400-450 hp will be plenty
T56 or t600 maybe t500
Full rollcage. Not NASCAR style but safe and good looking
corvette style suspension for front
And 3 link for rear
I can see it now, I can't wait.
Thinking flat white with back or carbon spoilers and accents and side exhaust.

That's a very cool project. When you start it I'll be watching.

I've had a '65 SS stored in a barn since around '85. My parents gave it to me instead of trading it in 1978. They bought it used in 1967 with 10k miles on the odometer. They flipped it (the odometer) twice and added 50k more. My first date car.

After I finish my 68 Camaro, the '65 is my next project.

Good luck,

I will post some pics of the car in it's current state as an ol' hot rod cruiser my girlfriend and I take out for date night and Sunday breakfast at the local diner.

Our plans are for it to be a track day car. We live 10minutes from Palm beach international race way and less than 2 hours from Sebring and Homstead. Oh and about 4 hours from daytona.
I raced in a 2nd gen scca ITS Rx7 for about 2 and a half years and I have raced on all of these tracks except homestead. We will have the 65 out there as soon as money allows. I say we because my girlfriend will be driving as well. I assured her chinmotorsports and hooked on driving type events are safe, and I believe they are.
We are working on putting funds together and I spoke with a local shop who deals with DSE and they(the shop)are willing to work with me on install and light fabrication.
Does anyone have any advice on how to possibly get some sponsor help. I have put together a proposes budget for the car and events with exposure options for different types of businesses. I am also working on a rendering of the car. I do have a business and an business account so I would be asking as a business not as a guy off the street.
Wow, thanks for reading and any help or suggestions.
Ryan

Here are the pics.
Im getting a little antsy, can you tell. I cant wait to get her track ready.
My girlfriend was laughing at me, but its been a while since Ive worn a suit and it was cinco de mayo yesterday and I was celebrating. Does it mean im getting old when thats my idea of fun, or does it mean I still need to grow up.
anyways, thanks for looking.

Don't ever grow up Bro. You'll end up in a mini van!

Oh no, not a minivan
I did just buy a house though, but no kids yet.
I do want to turn the back half of the property into a garage, so I can store and work on cars. You know like the bag you used to keep your hotwheels in, that was my first garage and I haven't grown up yet.
