Default DSE subframe connector install with removable subframe

I thought I would start this thread so maybe it will help someone in the future since I didn't find a whole lot when I was searching for the same. In the Jackass build and a few others you'll see the bolts so it is done but never much detail on this in particular.

Since I will be running the OEM subframe(replace when my ship comes in ) and likely have it on and off a few times during the build, I wanted the DSE subframe connectors installed in such a way that the subframe bolts to the connectors. I talked to Dan@Holohans about this before he got started with the install.

I'm extremely happy with the way they turned out. The install looks very good and I think it will work out nicely. What he did was closeout the DSE tube, bore holes through the tube, weld in a piece of thick walled tube tapped on both sides, then fab up the extensions for the OEM sub. There are 2 bolts coming in from both sides. Dan even used some few thou' shims between the pieces to account for the paint to come later. I think he must of done this before

And here are some pics...

Looks good I am going to make my connectors so you can unbolt the sub frame also so I can change later (see ship above)
