Default Wheel manufacturers?

Why dont some Wheel manufacturers make different type of wheel heights and width??
Billet Specialties only make up to 10 inch wide & no 19 inch
Some companies dont even make over 18 inch heigh?
Or a these special orders and a ty for coming price? OR take them to a specialised wheel widener(width issues only) to make them wider?
input?

Not sure about the other guys, but Budnik does custom widths that aren't listed on their website.

Good question,Two piece wheel manufacturers such as Billet Specialties, Budnik and others are pretty much limited as far as wheel sizes by the manufacturers of the barrels or hoops - we all get them from the same manufacturers and if they do not offer it-it really is not available. There are options such as cutting and widening the barrel but as a manufacture you have to consider the liability of what you have done, plus it is not really a DOT approved wheel anymore and it is expensive. The trend is wider and we know it and as soon as the barrels are available we all will offer them. Manufacturers that offer three piece wheels are about the only answer right now for 18x12 and sizes as such. Hope this helps.

Default 19's

Currently we only offer the Soft Lip Chicayne (SLC62) in 19" and it is the same price as a 20x8.5. We really do not get that many requests for 19" wheels (not near as many as we get for wider wheels!)

Default Widened wheels...

Scott is right on, with being limited to what "hoops" or outers are available as we are limited to what material is available.

We are currently offering widened wheels to all our customers, as we have tested, and come up with a process we are very comfortable with in regards to strength, and structrual integrity. (For example Detroit Speed's vehicles, for whom we build numerous 18X12's, etc.)

We have found the 19" wheel was first desireable to our European markets, but now has grown in popularity domesticly, and we will continue to offer 19" wheels as we always have done in 19X8, 19X10, 11", 12", 13", 15".

As always, we at Budnik are more then willing to help all our customers with their catered, custom needs. For more information, please feel free to email us, or call us direct.

Jon
