Default Clutch / Master Question

I have a T56 with a RAM clutch setup and a Tilton 3/4 bore Master (1.10 stroke)

When I put the car in reverse it grinds, all the other gears seem to be just fine, the other thing is that the release point is right on the floor which is another thing that needs to be addressed.

I am told that changing to a master cylinder with a longer stroke will solve my problems but before I go ahead and switch to the Wilwood Compact Master with a 1.4 stroke I thought I would make sure.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
