Default From Argentina rare Twin Turbo Mopar and questions!

Hi Everybody,
I have been a member for a long time, but this is my first post, so here´s a little intro! Im huge fan of Muscle cars, specially MOPAR, and vintage racing. Im located in Argentina, were Dodge made a few models back in the day, including Valiants and these GTX´s pictured here. Valiants came with Slants 6 engine and the top of the line GTX´s had the classic 318. I believe they don´t share any body components or accesories with the american version, so I makes eveybody wander why Chrysler designed a whole car for just this latitudes. We also have a Race category -Turismo Carretera- in wich these big GTX´s, Chevy Nova´s, Ford Falcon and a Rambler based local design called Torino, race every two weeks at fully croweded tracks (there´s actual one Oval track with a total distance of 4 km = 2.5 miles, but the rest have plenty of slow and high speed curves)
Now they become really sought after vehicles here, and there´s a few guys tuning them. Here are a few images!
I hope this post is not too boring for you! But these is one of the reasons I posted today:
Im planning to go to Good Guys Columbus. Im visint a friend of mine who lives in West Virgia and I don´t want to miss this event! Any body can help me by giving tips and advices of were to stay, the show program, etc?
Im not going to have a car... Does anybody goes there Motörless?????

Thanks for this great site! Its definitively and inspiration to keep working on cars!!!!

Cool, I think you're the 2nd person to post from South America.

I've never been to GG Columbus but there are a lot of members who have. I'm sure they can give you some insight on the venue, logistics, etc.

What part of Argentina? I spent 3 months working in Neuquen, Buta Ranquil and Rincon De las Sauces. Good to have another Mopar fan here.

ah, the 318. My first car was a 78 Dodge Aspen Fastback with a 318. That car was a monster. I stripped everything electrical outta that car and redid most of the engine. After letting it sit for 2 years, I parted it. That engine was a beast tho... prob had 300K or more and still started even after sitting for 2 years.

Good luck with the event. I'd just search the area on Google Maps or Map Quest for Hotels.

What year is the gold car? The rectangular headlights look like mid to late 70s to me.

Cool looking cars.

The gold car is a 73 I believe.
The turbos on the other one are out of a Scania diesel truck with modified snails. We have to deal with what we got here! Is not running a lot of boost because it still has the standar beams (around 10-12 psi). Altough the engine has at least 7 years in the current condition and it was never taken appart since it got the first single turbo set up.
The Black Nova used to belong to a friend of a friend. He sold it last year.
Cheers!
Juan
