Default Foose gets Overhauled

I don't know if it was a re-run or not, but I saw the episode last night for the first time where Foose gets his old '50s Ford truck Overhauled.

That was the best show yet. My wife and I were both about in tears at the end when he saw the truck. I have never met Foose, but of all the guys on T.V. doing the reality Hot Rod stuff...he really seems like the real deal. The kind of guy you aspire to be.

He is lucky to have a dad that supported and fueled his fire growing up. To be able to share that with him is so awesome. Makes me really miss my dad, but happy to see Foose and his dad have such a great relationship.

It was a rerun, but like you, I hadn't seen it before, either. I agree, Chris, he's the real deal and it's obvious his passion is the cars and people and not the money or being on TV.

Good stuff.

I've only see part of that episode but he really looked emotional about it. It's hard to know what parts of shows like this are real and what to expect people on these shows to be like in real life but from what I've been told Foose is exactly as nice as they make him out to be on the show. I have a local chassis bending/roll cage shop that bends frame rails for me(WAY cheaper and tighter radi than AM, beautiful stuff),they built the chassis for that ugly Napa S-10 they Overhaul'd a few months ago, the owner was on the build and had some cool stories about Foose. He couldn't get over how nice he was. They went over to use the lathe at Foose's shop and he got an hour or so tour of Impressions which was just sitting under a car cover in the corner. He said the shop was much smaller than he expected, they were working right next to Impressions. Foose even joked that he hoped nothing ran into or fell on the car....then said " well we built it, I guess we can fix it" Nothing but nice things to say about him though.

Yea he is a great and deserving guy. That truck has been in a couple of adds in the magazines already. I think Mothers adds. I meet charlie his painter on a plane about 6 months ago. You know Charlie that was the painter on american hot rod first then left Boyd and started painting for foose. Charlie is also a really nice down to earth guy. He said he loved working for foose and hated working for Boyd. I asked him how much it would be to have him paint my Nova. He said he was booked for the next 5 years.
