SS systems also expand more than steel, so it helps alot to run them, especially if you have hard mounted components then i think it becomes necessary to prevent vibration and cracking.

Iam not running any kind of plates. Hes going to use hangers, but iam thinking the flex couplings is just a piece of mind. i dont even want to think about fixing cracks on my new exhaust
