Default New Corvette Commercial - Video

...for the 1984 Corvette! I remember when this aired.. I thought the "new Vette" was from outer space!

I must say as a 16 year old "kid" at the time, that darn violin scene hooked me. And it hooked me good.

Default memories

I was 12 or so... I remember how excited I was to see the headlights flip "backward"... the first time I saw the car in person I nearly S'd my pants. I remember being home sick from school, and my mom brought me the new Motor Trend with the '84 Vette on the cover. I had that damn story memorized. I never was a real Corvette freak, but that car was hyped like no other production car of my youth. It's amazing how the excitement worked... at least on a 12 year old with no $! And to think, today, I get excited when I see the suspension from one of these, but little else. Cease-fire injection and all.
