Default WINNER ANNOUNCED for our August give away contest!

WINNER ANNOUNCED!

The answer to the question is 38 total operations, making the winner YoungGun. Congrats, I'll shoot you a PM with the details.

Lateral-g.net August give away contest!

The Swag: Win a free set of SpeedTech Performance Billet Aluminum hubs which fit 64 to 72 A Body, 67-69 Camaro/Firebird and 68 to 74 Nova.

The Contest trivia question: The Billet Aluminum hubs are made from a solid piece of 6061 T6 Aluminum and machined to exact tolerances. These new hubs replace the original drum hub with a weight savings of over one pound per hub. Tell me how many operations it takes to machine the set from raw material to finished product. At the end of the month, the first person who guessed correctly or came the closest to the correct number wins the set of billet hubs.

The Rules: Post your guess in this thread. In the event of a tie, the person who answered/posted first is the winner. You may only post once. My Moderators are not eligible to win although I encourage them to participate.

My Notes:
I want to thank Todd and company at SpeedTech Performance for donating this month's prize. If you don't have a need for these billet hubs, I still encourage you to participate as they can always be sold via the Lateral-g Classifieds.

The Billet aluminum hubs are made from a solid piece of 6061 T6 Aluminum and machined to exact tolerances. These new hubs replace the original drum hub with a weight savings of over one pound per hub. The hubs come with the following features:
  • Screw in ½” wheel studs for additional strength.
  • Anodized for long lasting wear and for a nice show quality finish.
  • All hubs come with bearing races installed
  • New bearings and grease seals included.
  • Billet aluminum dust cover that uses stainless steel screws for retention.
  • Finally the WOW Effect
