Default Allow myself to intrduce....myself

Hi Everybody,

I'm Matt and I live in St. Paul, MN. I've been a lurker here for a long time and finally decided (with a little help from XcYZ) to join in the fun. I just got rid of a Pro Street car, and would like to spend a little time in the Pro-Touring world. Currently, I have a Z/28 Convert that I have been building, as well as a 61 Impala Bubbletop that is crying for suspension, brakes, and a significant attitude and altitude adjustment. Great site!!!!

Matt

Welcome! I used to have a '61 Impala. Roman Red and Ermine White. I had a bored and stroked 409 under the hood, backed by a muncie 4-speed. Loved that thing!

How about a few pics?

Shiny Side Up!

Hey Maxharvard, I think I've seen you on a few local boards! Thanks for the welcome! PT442, sounds like you had a nice car! Mine had a 383 smallblock at one time with a Muncie. It was detuned last year with a fresh 350/350 combo, but I got the 4 speed with it. If I can figure out how to post pics, here is one as it sits (nosebleed height) and one pic of it photoshopped down low:

Yeah, it was cool. First frame off my father and I did... I miss that car. I still have a red carpet set for it in the basement. I should get rid of it one day!

I love the '61 cars. I never liked the fake convertible looking roof they put on the '62s.

Thanks again for the warm welcome, everybody! And yes, I do believe that this is about the greatest show on the internet....at least the greatest show that is safe for work!!!

Glad to hear there are so many Bubbletop fans out there! I had wanted one for along time and since this one was a body off car as well I couldn't pass it up.

Protouring442 how bout a pic or 2 of your old Impy?
