Default I guess the word is out ! . . . . .

I have been developing some Billet core support bars for some time now, and am very close to releasing them for sale.

Several people have been given a preview of them for purposes of getting imput on the final product . . . . . . now I see this:

The simillarities in styling are just too great to assume a coincidence here. I am sorry that my first post here has to be under these circumstances but right now I am almost speechless that this has happened.

I guess I must congratulate Twist on getting them to market first . . . . . .

Yeah- you got scooped. I would remake them like some kind of turnbucle setup. I can't imagine the attachment brackets in my head. But solid aluminum bar stock with small rod ends would be cool. I'm not a Camaro guy (yet) so I don't know if it's already been done. The Stang guys have strut tower bars with the solid bar and rod end all over the place.

They are similar in that they are straight and bolt down on each end, but then again any support made as a direct replacement will be the same. As far as design I don't think they copy yours at all.

Stylistically they are very different. Functionally they are identical but as was said, how different can you make them and still have them bolt on?

I'm sure the market is big enough for both. Some will prefer your styling and some the ones from Twist Machine.

To be honest I'm surprised someone just now came out with this product.. it's a pretty obvious concept.

Your's look very nice.

And I would resist the urge to call "shenanigans" unless you know for sure..

personally I think they are unecessary in the first place, even the stock ones. Second it still blows my mind how much money people spend on useless "bling" parts. I felt the same about the hood hinges, but at least those do something. Whats next? billet inner fenders? aluminum is the new chrome

Maybe chrome solid radiator hoses.....


I know for a fact Twist has been working on these for over 6 months, and Steve was talking about them last year at SEMA.

I also know Steve well enough to know he would not copy someone's idea over a $200 or less part.

Sure, I would agree with that, aluminum is the new chrome. It is what it is though, some people want it, some people hate it. No different than any other aftermarket piece really.

Billet inner fenders? No. Carbon fiber.
