All things considered the price for it is not all that bad. If you are starting at scratch and building an LS1 car, that frame puts you way ahead in terms of money and bother.

To start, it fits stock LS1 pans and it clears the stock AC compressor. Total the cost of tubular control arms, aluminum spindles with C5 hubs, rack and pinion steering, splined swaybar, coil over bracketry and shocks, and cleaning/blasting/welding/modifying a stock frame. It all adds up fast. The DSE frame looks like a pile of money but its all up front and when you have it your done.

Ive touched on this subject before! about DSE, Sure they are a GOOD company but like i have alwasy said wayyy over priced in a market that makes products similiar and even nicer in my book, but about there frames no way i would take one over a morrison frame and not to mention the total cost unit is even nicer yet for a fraction of the money, but for 6K+ come on
and shure there a hydro formed peice and all but really how many people are going to abuse there cars to the point they would a frame of this magnitude, Personally just dosent make since but shure theres always people out there that will want whats new first and money is no object. And it is great theres options like these frames out there but not really necessary for most builds a frame this extrme or most of all this expensive!

um..

minus the emo post a page back..

i think it will go up.. so get it while you can.. or the cost for them to make it may go up to the point the profit might be too low to make them anymore..

shot.

What do you think the price differnces between the AME frame and DSE frame?

And why exactly to you think the AME frame is "nicer?"

I think Efi69 sums it up pretty good. There are plenty of people out there that love to abuse their cars, and I do believe this piece can take the abuse.
I've seen it done lap after lap. Just be careful of carving corners with any of those street rod type subs out there.

It's far from over priced, and it's one of if not the best front sub out. The TCI you mentioned is near the bottom of the list. A complete Art Morrison which is another great frame is close to the same price as the DSE when it's complete. And yes, we do abuse our cars. If you cannot afford it, don't buy it, but don't bash it because you can't afford it.

Ya what he said. I havent seen the DSE in person but looks way cool as for the TCI I have seen it in person and was not very impressed with what I saw, looks like Mustang II stuff. I'm not bashing TCI just stating that it's not in the same zip code as the DSE frame. And isn't the TCI frame like $4000.00 or $4500.00???
