I posted over at Musclerides about the engine and the rumor. I'll see if Bob replies. I could care less who it belonged to, I just want to know about the engine and exhaust. WOW. I just thought it was funny how the comments start flying when judging is going on!

I know the 55, but not familiar with the engine in it. Somewhere someone has some info on it

Doug Cooper responded. This is what was written:



The camaro has the same exact engine that's in my 55 it's a dart 540 makes 700hp on pump gas... aluminum heads, dual plane intake and a 900cfm holley... the exhaust on the cars is different than my 55 Alan used a cup car exhaust and cut it all up to fit the camaro it's also got a tilton ceramic clutch set up [5g's] those pieces are what makes it sound so BAD A$$... and a heavy foot doesn't hurt.

It had to if it wanted to compete for SMOY, not sure of the time i do not know who's name was on the car, since that was all that was listed in the first post of this thread
