				 Need Info Fast, Ordering Tomorrow!!

I am ordering Foose Thrustar's and need to know if these will fit:front: 18x8.5 /4.5bs
 rear: 18x10 /5.25bs
This is the only size I can get them in. He said he guarantee's they will fit.Tires will be:
 245/40
 285/35
I have a 69 and I had the rear fenders rolled. These are the same rims Foose puts on all his 69 camaro's. The rims have been discontinued and I had to pull some strings to get them and just need to be sure they will fit. Thanks............Patrick

 | I don't think either have enough backspacing. 18X9.5's with 5.5" b.s. barely fit with that size tire on the rear. You're going 1/2" wider plus 1/4" less backspacing so you're moving the tire/wheel 3/4" further into the fenders. Also I run 4.75" to 5" b.s on the fronts with an 8" rim. You're going 1/2" wider and again 1/4" further out to the fenders. I'm guessing you will have rub issues front and rear unless your car sits up pretty high.

I am not the most knowledgable person. But it seems the fronts would fit without issue at all. The rears would be my only concern, but you seem to have the backspacing correct, with the fender rolled a bit I guess 10" would fit, I know 9.5 does. but I want to let someone else come in on that.
 Good Luck!

 Tim

EDIT: Jody beat me...and he def knows what hes talking bout. So scratch my opinion.

You know for $750ea, I think I should be able to order what I want. I told him 9.5'' in rear is what I want but I've tried calling about 20 places and they cant get these rims. I finally got in touch with the part owner of the "Hugger Orange Foose 69" thats on the cover of Popular Hot Rodding and he's getting them for me ("Unique Performance".)If everyone thinks they wont fit I'll get something else, but I really want Foose on my car.

Did they ask if you are running 4 wheel discs? This will make a differance. How low is your car...I don't think Foose gets them down there like I do!
I have 17x8 w/ 5" bs...I like the fitment. I think you are pushing it with these wheels, I personally don't see them fitting...listen to Jody!

If you get these you may need to roll the fender lips and possibly run spacers too...

I have seen 10" wheels w/ 285's fit 69s but the bs must be right on!!

I've been searching for about 1.5 yrs trying to decide which rims I want and I really have my mind set on these but if there are too many negative things that i've got to consider, I'll just get something else rather than going through the hassle of ordering and waiting then not fitting, that takes alot of time and I'm ready for rims now. Here is a pic of my car.

You need to go to Billet Specialties web site and download there wheel backspacing worksheet. Once you've downloaded that follow the instruction and you will be able to figure out your backspacing.
The other thing to consider is are you going to upgrade your front or rear brakes. If so do that first as the thickness of the rotor hat may/will change and that will affect how your wheels fit.

I can't see that rear BS working with the stock wells. You need more like 5.75" or 6" with a 10" wheel, and you'll still have to roll the 1/4 lips.
I'd recommend using the chart that syborg tt posted.
