He says it's the linkage bar geometry that will bind. Going to a shorter shock or spring would create this.

Looking at Todd's G-bar his car is sitting lower than this, but the G-link is a little different.

I'm going to wait and let the springs settle and then see how it sits. Should have it back this week.

Frank told me this kit could be dropped quite low, but maybe he wasn't exactly correct. I'd like it as low as the DSE setups most guys run.

Hmmmmm... I can't tell from the photos, are the coil over mounts bolted in at the lowest position? The pinion angle will also effect the ride height. As the pinion is pointed down, it naturally jacks the rear end up. Your shocks should bottom out before any type of binding happens. It wil settle, not enough. Is all the weight in the car?

Hey Todd, weight is in the car. Yes the shocks are in the lowest position. I just spoke to Bill. He's going to rebuild the upper shock cross member to raise the shock and lower the car more. I'm picky about the stance. This kind of sucks had I known I would have gone with the DSE kit but at least it will get the car sitting where I want it.

No argument here, the stance has to be right! Good luck.

I agree, stance is a big deal. Looks to need to come down 1". What is the measurment from the ground to the body crease in line with the axle?(Guessing 25.75) I'd wait for Frank, something is not right.

Oh everything will be fine, it's only going to cost a little more in labour. Come this far what's a little more

Remember Todd the G-link is a slightly different kit than your G-bar. The shocks sit more upright rather than canted inwards.

I realize that, but that doesn't mean it can't be engineered for the same ride height. I told you to go with DSE.

Lol yeah I know. Frank sold me on the whole easy install deal, stock trunk floor. I guess the problem is that the shock cross member sits under the trunk floor and then lowers the whole shock? I think the member Barazza (sp?) said this wasn't correct theory but whatever, I am no suspension engineer. Just want it to have the stance Chris was talking about

If the linkage bar geometry would bind by going to a shorter shock/spring wouldn't it still bind by raising the upper mount? I'm interested to see how this plays out b/c i was actually going to order my g-link today until i saw your update.
