It was relaxing, just not so much during the hike. lol

Lets see, as long as I'm posting vacation pics...

We hit the Badlands:

Stopped by Ellsworth AFB:

Tried to find the entrance to that cave from National Treasure 2.

Said hello to George:

And his posse:

On an interesting note, there's razor wire protecting the monument and the back staircase that goes to the Hall of Records behind the faces:

I should have use spot metering for this shot:

Crazy Horse is massive:

We were up there the first part of July, and I must say it was pretty cool! The sign that said 1/4 mile left....I think it lied!! LOL. Like a quarter up!! That last bit was the hardest for sure!

I can't upload from an iPhone here can I?

Scott we were there last year, We never get tired of going. Did you happen to drive the road from Custer state park back to Keystone. Your PT cars would love that drive.... very twisted. I drove it twice just because.

Scott, the beetle is actually called the Pine beetle, we have the same problem here in BC, Canada. The weather does not get cold enough in the winter anymore to kill them off. And to kill them you have to spray pesticides which I think there is alot of resistance against.

Otherwise, very cool pics. Do you have to do this hike to get to Mt Rushmore??

Oh yeah, the pine beetle. I knew it had a really technical, hard to remember name.

As for Mt Rushmore, you can park just a few hundred yards from the main area. Really easy.
