When I got my dry sump oil pump setup it included some oil lines for it made by Brown & Miller (BMRS). Reworking any of their fittings requires a proprietary crimping machine that only they and a few shops seem to have. We dealt with this when Watson Racing was assembling and preparing to dyno my motor last fall. A Sprint Car shop in San Jose (Keating) had the machine so they helped us there. Anyway, I had bought a few more of the BMRS hoses to add to my "pile" of crap in the hopes that some of it would be useful later. Some of it proved to be, but we needed modification again. So I contacted BMRS knowing they had opened a Socal location recently and they luckily were pretty close to Brett's shop. So he took all the measurements and we used some of the my good fittings/lines to rework into the new lines. Not the cheapest route, but they pressure test everything for free so this should be a good system and hopefully all leak free.

Brett should be finishing up the plumbing soon and on to the next task. Getting there...

Plumbing looks awesome.

With your back up against the muffler, the 270 degree oil lines running along your feet, plus all the rest of the heat sources in hear. Makes me think of a Christmas song. Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire!! LOL

Wow! Brown & Miller hose & ends. Fancy-smancy there Cheeseball.

That is the best of the best. Wade Brown is a friend of mine and they're dedicated to having the lightest, high quality hose & fittings. Before the LA branch, they had 3 locations ... Charlotte for NASCAR ... Indy for IndyCars/CART/IRL ... and England for F1 ... because those are their 3 primary markets.

Awesome stuff, but out of the practical price range for most of us.

Good Ron... I really don't like your fair and balanced analysis there. Moving to CA 15 years ago has made me quite a little pu&&y when it comes to weather so I welcome the 270* a couple inches from my extremities.

Can I use the USCA tagline #becausestreetcar here?

Better yet. I have a large chest of original legos from the 70's and 80's. The new stuff they make and sell for big bucks is such crap!

We have Good Ron and we have Bad Ron..... I am still trying to figure out which Ron you are. Don't worry, it will come to me....

You are right, these are spendy, and not quite practical when NEW. But much less spendy when you frugally pick up some nice sets of used lines and fittings that are reusable. I got one set of 7 lines made for pump to pan in near MINT condition for like $50 on ebay. Those fittings brand new are EACH about $40!

Overall I bet I saved several hundred bucks over what it could have been just going in there or calling and ordering up everything brand new. Plus, it's Nascar stuff and that's a big theme on this thing so I gotta do what I gotta do sometimes.
