Mark, what is the driver's sport mirror from? Is it non-remote?
I plan to put a pair on my son's car but the driver's I have has the manual remote cables. I do not want to cut the original doors panels.

I use G-Body sport mirrors. They are remote operated from the factory. They have a cable on them stock. I make new mechanical parts for them to make them manual adjustable.

I have tried a few different ways of doing it. This is not easy. I knew someone would eventually ask the question so here are a few photos. To get it to fit in the housing is a lot of trial and error.

Thanks, I will play around and copy that, like trial and error. In the 80's I tied off the manual cable inside the door and it worked but I want to do a little better now.

Curious why G body - are the bases better suited for 1st gens? Like a better angle, etc.

They bolt on with studs (more solid) and have a slightly longer neck.

Mark, are these mirrors direct replacement for 68-69 camaro mirrors?

Define direct replacement. It is not a direct replacement. Some assembly required.

Thanks for the reply. I mean if the base of the G Body mirror and the stud spacing match with the 68 camaro mirror base, so there is no need to drill holes at different locations to fix the G Body mirror.
