What time (eastern) did it go across the block?? I have it on DVR. My guess was only $8K off...not bad so far. I have seen that car in person on power tour...and its sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet! As the commercial goes.

It was the last car to roll across (on the televised show)

Guess they saved "the best" for last

I'll have to convert it to digital video, I'll work on that this morning.

Off topic: Has anyone been doing the fantasy bidding? It is difficult to decide what these cars will go for. The closest I came was 1,000 bucks on the Edsel wagon. I missed the mustang fastback by 30K. 13K off on the Alluminator.

It came on near the last 10 mins of the show.. so if they repeat it just be sure to catch the end

Oh, and they really on got half the action since they were in process partly durring the the commercial.

BTW.. I saw a friend of mines HEMI Coronet go on the block. It was a recreation of a factory drag car (red).. beautiful car and I am sure he was happy with the $118k he got (before fees)

In regards to the Aluminator, keep in mind that all the awards and magazine coverage it has gotten plus the rep of DSE added quite a bit to that price. The same exact car (build by an unknown) with zero past exposure might of brought $50k less.

I would think it would be tough to duplicate the car for less than $150k if you had it built, but that's not really the point.
I agree

Me and a friend bought a 34 Ford and I went to check out a chassis fabricator about 100 miles from my home. I'll see The Aluminator on the reruns for sure.
