I really like the all satin black look. My car is still on stock wheels but I've painted them satin black. Whats your plan for tying that in to the paint scheme? Are those wheels the GA3's/GA3R's? What size wheel and tire combo?

Dave

Thanks Jon!! I think recessing the sub is a great idea. Not only will we be able to keep travel, we will also lower center of gravity. Dropping everything will be easy. Steering coloumn will have to be raised a bit at firewall and z-bar lowered and modified but its definitely doable. The interior sheet metal work will be the brunt of the work.

Thanks Dave!! Valance, grill, front bumper, header panel, hood, cowl panel will be satin black. Black stripes on the deck lid with satin black rear spoiler. Seen this look on a vintage '69 SCCA car and loved it.

Wheels are GA3R's. 17 x 9.5 front with 275/40's shaved RA-1's, rears are 17 x 10.5 with 315/35 NT-01's.

Great to see some nice, fat, juicy 17" tires ...and home for the holidays.

Lookin' good.

That was my preference, go for what you like and what suits your needs. When you have an all black wheel I feel the tire and wheel lose the definition, thats why on an all black I like it when a pinstripe is used. White red, maybe orange in your case would look cool. Would be cheap and easy to try out?

Don't forget the core support Gae. 'The floor channeling guys' seem to mod that every time...

Yup, raise the supports at the radiator core, drop the side frame mounts, and modify the rear mounts. Cut and rebox a portion of the body where frame meets firewall, inner wheel wells will need to be cut where they sit above the frame. Front bumper brackets removed and modified.
