LS Fun In The Texas Sun!

Last year Holley hosted their very first LS Fest in Texas, at Texas Motor Speedway. They announced it with less than two months before the event which was on Father’s Day – oh and it was about 120 million degrees out. Yet people came! The event was a huge success.

This year with plenty of promotion, much cooler weather and not Father’s Day weekend we just knew Holley had the right recipe for a killer LS Fest. They were right – Saturday the temps were in the upper 70’s and it just couldn’t have gotten much better for weather.

The infield at Texas Motor Speedway was packed with cars and people everywhere – if you weren’t there, you missed out! Friday was busy as well but the weather wasn’t quite cooperating. A storm cell passed close to the track with lightning strikes that halted racing for a few hours.

LS Fest is just a neat event and not because of the LS engines running everywhere. There’s just everything going on under the sun that you can do behind the wheel of a car. Autocross, Trackcross, Drag Racing, Cruising, Drifting, and a good ol’ fashioned show n’ shine. There’s certainly no shortage of fun to be had at LS Fest Texas.
